"Ich schau kurz nach deiner Mama, bin gleich wieder da", erklärte er und humpelte aus der Küche.
Nach einem sanften Klopfen schob er die angelehnte Tür weiter auf.

"Natürlich", nickte er und schob ihren Rollstuhl ein wenig zur Seite und deckte sie weiter zu. Er merkte, dass schon diese Worte sie sehr angestrengt hatten. "Ich hätte dich von vorn herein schieben können, nächstes Mal machst du dich nicht so kaputt!", warf er sich selbst vor und schloss ihre zitternde Hand in seine.

Wieder zurück in der Küche, drehte er die Herdplatte wieder an. "Mama isst mit Chase, also nur wir beide", erklärte er und zuckte mit den Schultern. Das Wasser kochte inzwischen, also gab er die Milch und das Püree-Pulver dazu, rührte lange und ließ den Topf dann stehen.

Remy drehte sich wieder zur anderen Seite. Ihr war nicht entgangen, dass House in letzter Zeit immer einfach abbrach, wenn es sonst zu Streit kommen würde.
