Es dauerte nicht lange, bis Remy eingeschlafen war. Es tat ihr einfach so gut, mal wieder so entspannt mit Chase in ihrem eigenen Bett liegen zu können, dass sie endlich mal wieder richtig abschalten konnte.

Chase streichelte Remy die ganze Zeit sanft, bis er selbst eingeschlafen war. Es war auch für ihn ein Genuss, seine Frau so fest im Arm zu halten, ohne das Wissen, gleich wieder von ihr fort gehen zu müssen.

"Okay, das machen wir", befand House und warf einige Kartoffeln in die Spüle, um sie zu schälen. Er blickte kurz zwischen Anna und den Sachen hin und her, die er zum Kochen auf den Schrank gelegt hatte und dachte nach. "Sag mal, denkst du du schaffst es, den Salat in Streifen zu schneiden, ohne das Gleiche mit deinen Fingern zu machen?", fragte er sie vorsichtig. Irgendwann mussten sie es ihr so oder so beibringen, allerdings würde Remy ausrasten, wenn Anna nur einen Kratzer bekäme.
