"Ich liebe dich!" Sanft zog er sie an seine Brust, starrte jedoch noch lange vor sich hin, bevor er schließlich die Augen schloss. Schlafen konnte er lange nicht.

Chase kam erst in den Morgenstunden richtig zur Ruhe, sodass er kaum drei Stunden Schlaf gehabt hatte, als sein Wecker ihn wieder aus dem Schlaf holte. Schnell machte er ihn aus, damit Remy, falls sie schon davon wach geworden war, wenigstens gleich weiterschlafen konnte und setzte sich langsam auf. Er fühlte sich wie erschlagen, sein Kopf schmerzte und er war wahnsinnig müde, aber es half ohnehin nichts, daher quälte er sich langsam aus dem Bett.

Remy wurde sofort wach und sah ihn an:"Du gehst weg?", fragte sie schon wieder hellwach und ganz aufgeregt. Gleich wurde ihr wieder ganz heiß:"Stimmt...du hast ja ja...Frühdienst!"

Remy versuchte sich zu beruhigen, doch sie schaffte es nicht. Sie wusste, dass Chase in die Arbeit musste, jedoch war ihre Angst im Augenblick einfach zu groß:"Ich...aber du...bist mindestens acht Stunden weg!", sie zitterte am ganzen Körper.
